For those wanting to be active though there is a wide variety of interesting options from snorkeling in the aqua lagoon, diving amongst the corals, kayaking, fishing or joining a game of beach volleyball.

 A PADI scuba dive centre serves up world-famous Fiji diving, including full dive instruction.

All the accommodation at Crusoe’s Retreat is in Bures, which means “sanctuary” in Fijian.

Sea View Bures are on the hillside with panoramic views of the lagoon and Pacific Ocean beyond.

SeaView Bures are perfect for single travelers on couples on a budget.  These six Bures are situated in three separate buildings, each encompassing two bures.  There is a shared wall between the bures (the bathroom wall), but they are completely private. Each has one Queen size bed, some comfortable furniture both in an indoor sitting area and an outdoor verandah and ensuite bathroom. Enjoy the privacy of your Bure secluded from the rest of the resort when you wish.

Deluxe SeaView Bures are located on Crusoe’s hillside.  Deluxe Seaview Bures feature either two Queen size beds or one Queen and two single beds, making it the perfect choice for couples or small families.  Private covered verandah with comfortable furniture and outstanding views. A large bedroom and sitting room area with a soaring ceiling opens into a large bathroom.  Located above the public areas of Crusoe's Retreat, the Deluxe SeaView Bure is easily accessed via a strolling walkway with some stairs.

Seaside Bures have soaring ceilings, two Queen size beds (single beds also available), a comfortable sitting area, and a large covered verandah with sweeping views.  A large sitting area and bedroom are designed in tropical fashion, and open into the spacious bathroom. Seaside Bures are located in tropical gardens just a short walk to the main areas of the resort, the beach and activities.

Deluxe SeaSide Bures are the most private bures at the resort and are reserved exclusively for couples. Designed in traditional style these bures have a thatched roof, polished local hardwood floors, dramatic ceilings with traditionally designed beams, and rattan lined walls. Deluxe SeaSide Bures feature air-conditioning, two-person showers, and a stunning open-air, river rock outdoor shower. The verandah features a covered area as well as a private hammock, and the Bure is within steps of the sandy beach.

Some of the Sea View Bures can be configured to accommodate a third adult or up to two Children through the addition of single beds.

 

 

Crusoe’s Retreat is the perfect setting for Weddings, Vow Renewal Ceremonies and Honeymoons. Each ceremony can be as unique as the couple themselves.

Couples may choose to exchange their vows in a variety of magical settings around the resort. If you wish the bride can be escorted to the ceremony by Fijian warriors dressed in traditional Fijian costume.

The beautiful white sand beachfront is an ideal location for a sunset wedding. The picturesque gardens inspire romance and enchantment while the embracing hills offer magnificent panoramic views of reefs and the turquoise lagoon.

The serene sounds of the award winning Village choir create a truly moving and romantic atmosphere.

Weddings at Crusoe’s Retreat are as they should be; relaxing, magical and unforgettable.

 

First you will hear the cries from the friendly Fijian Warriors, then the beating of the Lali Drum as the Torch Lightning Ceremony signals the beginning of Happy Hour at the Frangipani Bar.

With many delicious cocktails to choose from and a variety of local and imported Beer and Spirits, you will never be thirsty. The climate controlled wine room has a wide variety of wines for your enjoyment.

Crusoe’s Restaurant serves fresh local dishes, while the Cocktail Bar and thatched roof Coco's Pool Bar are popular gathering places.

One night a week the Traditional Fijian Lovo is served under the stars on the poolside deck. After your meal you will be entertained by the Namaqumaqua Village Meke dancers - be prepared to join in!

Every evening the Dinner Serenades create a soothing atmosphere to sit, relax and reflect on another day in paradise.
